Cricket is a popular game in New Zealand and it is one of the ten test-playing nations of the cricket. Cricket is the national game and most popular summer sport of New Zealand while it is the 2nd most popular sport overall after Rugby. In December 1842, cricket was played for the first time in Wellington. New Zealand team first played cricket from 15th to 17th February 1894 in Christchurch against New South Wales.
