Pakistan cricket board (PCB) thinking over the issue of spot fixing scandal and it is decided that few players will be issued NOC to play the BPL in the 5th edition. In the previous edition, 14 players were issued the NOC to play the league matches in the Bangladesh Premiere League and now this number of players for the BPL will be restricted to 3 to 4 players. The board is taking step to keep the big players away from the BPL. In the last edition, Nasir Jamshed also played the BPL and after that he became the main target of the spot fixing case for the PSL.

When Pakistani cricket team won the ICC Champions Trophy from India, then the demand of the Pak players was increased and most of the league got signed the Pakistani players for their leagues. Sarfaraz Ahmed represents Khulna Tigers with other Pakistani players like Junaid Khan and Shadab Khan to play the BPL. Now all of the countries started conducting their own premiere leagues and the players play all of the league matches and they do not have ample time to take rest, which can affect their efficiency and performance.

PCB also decided to concentrate on the national cricket and they restrict their big players not to play the BPL due to the threat of the spot fixing, which can tarnish the PSL.
