Pakistan beats India in Blind Cricket World Cup match 2014

Pakistan beat India in the first match of Blind Cricket World Cup 2014. Skipper Zeeshan Abbasi took 5 wickets while Haroon scored 84 runs for the defending champions.

The Blind Cricket World Cup in South Africa started on Friday instead of Thursday due the the sad death of Australian cricketer Phil Hughes. The first two matches on Thursday could not take place. All the players and officials of attendees participated in the mourn ceremony of late batsman of Australia.

India won the toss and scored 259 runs after opted to bat first. Ajay Redy 71, Vankit Swararao 63 and Jafar Iqbal 38 were the top scorers from Indian side. Zeeshan Abbasi of Pakistan took 5 wickets for just 23 runs. M Jameel and Badar munir opened the batting for Pakistan. Badar lost his wicket for just 2 runs.

112 runs scored for the 2nd wicket partnership between Haroon and Jameel. Jemeel was dismissed at the individual score of 74 and Pakistan achieved the target in 38 overs without losing any other wicket. South Africa lost to England with 41 runs in the 2nd match of that day.
